Tomatillo Salsa (just like El Molino’s!!)
- 5 tomatillos
- 1 jalapeño
- ½ onion
- ½ bunch of finely chopped Cilantro (season to taste but approx. ¼ cup)
- 3 tsp of Salt (divided!)
- 3 tsp Chicken flavored Bouillon powder (divided!)
- 3 tbsp finely chopped onion (optional)
- Put tomatillos, jalapeño and onion into a sauce pan. Turn on medium heat and roast until browned on outside and soft on the inside. Rotate the veggies so browned on all sides(about 4 minutes per side).
- Put tomatillos, jalapeño, and onion in blender add 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp chicken flavored bouillon powder. Blend until thick consistency.
- Taste salsa, and season to liking with salt and chicken flavored bouillon. Blend well.
- Mix in cilantro and chopped onions (do NOT put into blender).
