Crem A Glaze

A healthy, fresh dessert that’s easy and fast to make. Substitute berries for your favorite fruit.

  • 5 egg yolks
  • 1 ½ cup milk
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • Tsp vanilla
  • Raspberries
  • Strawberries
  • Blackberries

Serves: 3

  1. Heat milk in a double boiler. I put the milk in a pot and held it over a saucepan filled with water to substitute. It should be hot, but not boiling.
  2. Mix egg yolks and sugar in a bowl.
  3. When milk is hot, add it to egg and sugar mixture little by little while whisking the entire time.
*If you don’t do this little by little the end result will be a grainy texture.
  4. After all the milk is added, pour back into the double boiler and cook until thick, a little thinner than the consistency of pudding (about 10 minutes). Don’t boil; just simmer.
  5. Pour into serving bowls and let set in the fridge (30+ minutes). Garnish with a few blackberries, strawberries, and raspberries.
